A conference room for today’s times

Meetings with clients, team meetings, board meetings – these are basic elements of the functioning of very many companies. Therefore, when arranging office space, we should remember not only to create comfortable conditions for daily work in the form of open space, reception or catering area, but also to furnish a space where the above-mentioned activities can take place. This task will certainly be met by a well-equipped and modern conference room. White walls, a table, chairs, an overhead projector and a whiteboard with a marker are the first things that come to mind when we imagine a conference room. Yes, a few or even several years ago this is what meeting places looked like in most companies, today the standards are a bit different, as you can read later in this post.

First – creativity

Conference halls are very often places where brainstorming sessions take place, interesting ideas are given, original solutions are created, so it is worth taking care that these places stimulate creativity and are conducive to holding long meetings in a pleasant atmosphere. Motivational quotes, energetic colors, personalized graphics – such elements should adorn the walls of the place in question.  

Second – representativeness

Where should meetings with clients take place if not in a conference room? That’s why its representative and modern appearance is of paramount importance, as it is the business card of the company. It’s worth paying more attention to its design and finishing, which will certainly pay off in the future, when customers will be happy to come to subsequent meetings.    

Third – technology

In an era of remote working and frequent video conferencing, an essential piece of conference room equipment is equipment for online meetings. Which ones? That already depends on individual needs, but certainly such tools as an overhead projector, a large screen, a camera and a good sound system will always work.    

Fourth – personalization

As many as there are companies, there are so many needs for conference room functionality. Every company’s purpose for the space is different – from short, day-to-day meetings of the sales team, to teleconferences, brainstorming sessions of the creative team, to multi-hour board meetings. The conference room should be tailored to the needs and be conducive to what will take place in it. It’s worth thinking this through well before starting the design and planning the equipment accordingly.    

Fifth – markings

As we mentioned earlier, a conference room is a place for meetings, both intra-company and with clients, so care should be taken to properly mark the place. From the entrance, each user should know which way to go to get to the agreed meeting. Directional arrows and a sign informing where the conference room is located are a must.
