Reception desk – a business card that will distinguish the company from the competition

The reception area has a very significant impact on the image of the company. It is the first place customers, business partners and visitors come into contact with. It’s where they make their first impression, and what they see when they enter and leave will stay in their memory for a long time. It is worth paying some attention to it if we want to influence positive perceptions of our brand.

First, the logo

The first item a person will look at upon entering should be the company’s logo, which is why its proper placement is so important. A well-located logo helps to dispel any doubts guests may have about whether they are in the right building. In our implementations, we insist that the logo should match the design of the reception area and the overall interior design and branding, but also attract attention. To achieve this effect, we use a variety of methods that make them visually attractive, for example, through appropriate lighting or the use of neon. High-quality materials will make the logo aesthetically pleasing for a long time.

Color scheme consistent with branding

Another important element is to maintain an appropriate color scheme in the interior and signage. We usually choose a color palette consistent with the brand’s branding. This allows for proper harmony and minimizes chaos. Visitors don’t feel overwhelmed or attacked by prominent messages. Companies with a friendly and consistent appearance are perceived as professional and trustworthy.

Original style

In projects that want to further distinguish themselves from the competition with their interiors, we suggest additionally decorating the walls with graphics. Such decorations arouse great interest among visitors. They can be used to convey the values of the brand, or through them tell a little more about what the company does, where it is from, or who its employees are. We relied on such a solution during the Circle K office project.

Effective wayfinding

Speaking of the positive impression our company will leave, we can’t forget about the proper wayfinding of the space. Thoughtful and well-designed wayfinding is necessary, especially in buildings where we have to deal with more rooms and passageways. Depending on the size, directional signs, maps, diagrams, pictograms and other room markings can be helpful. Comfortable navigation saves unnecessary stress and frustration for prospective customers, new employees and others who are not yet too familiar with the building’s layout. An easy-to-read system will lead them straight to their destination.

Functional and comfortable space

In addition to a highly visible name, a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing interior, directional signs and an effective signage system for the space, there is another element to pay attention to when designing a reception area. The reception hall is also the place where our guests will spend their time while waiting for an appointment. Make sure that this moment is as pleasant as possible for them. It’s a good idea to clearly mark areas where they can sit quietly, relax and prepare for further activities. Comfortable furniture, pleasant light, natural materials, plant surroundings, and even the possibility to pour themselves some water or coffee – all this will have a positive impact on the perception of the company.

Reception is a business card

The reception area will always be the first and last place that visitors to a company will see. If the visit is a pleasant experience for them, we increase our chances for new business cooperation, positive customer feedback and position among competitors.
