As we read in Science Daily<\/a>, a recent study shows that “green” offices make employees happier and more productive than in “thrifty” interiors devoid of greenery. One of the study’s authors, Marlon Nieuwenhuis, states: “Simply enriching a previously spartan space with plants contributed to a 15% increase in productivity – a figure that is consistent with findings from earlier laboratory studies. This finding runs counter to current economic and political trends, as well as modern ‘lean’ management techniques, and yet it points the way to a more pleasant, comfortable and profitable form of office work.” <\/p>\n

The impact of plants on our psyche can therefore not be overestimated. The presence of greenery in the workplace reduces stress levels, relaxes and calms. Moreover, employees in offices full of greenery are more concentrated, and thus their productivity increases. <\/p>
